Non-Uniform Day -Thursday 6th April
Thu 30 Mar 2017Thursday 6th April will be non-uniform day for the children in Y1 to Y6 in Fitzalan. The winners of the house point challenge this term. -
Red Nose Day - 24th March 2017
Thu 16 Mar 2017This year the School Council have agreed that to raise money for Red Nose Day the children can wear "anything wacky" in return for a £1 donation. This can be fancy dress, a wacky hat, something colourful, it is up to you. If you can incorporate something red that would be wonderful but it is not essential. Ideas on the website in the Children section, School Council. -
Reception visits to the Library
Wed 15 Mar 2017The Reception classes will be walking to Glossop Library the week after next. Ms Wall/Mrs Clarke's class will be visiting on Tuesday 28th March in the afternoon and Mrs Marsland's class will be visiting on Thursday 30th March in the afternoon. If any parents are able to accompany the children please let your child's class teacher know. -
Gymnastics Competition
Fri 10 Mar 2017A group of children from Years 3 and 4 took part in a gymnastics competition at the Leisure Centre on Friday 10th March. All the girls were brilliant and beautifully behaved. They came third out of twelve against stiff competition. Congratulations to our bronze medalists. -
Y5 visit to St Philip Howard
Fri 10 Mar 2017All the Y5's will be visiting St Philip Howard Catholic Voluntary Academy for a taster session on Wednesday 22nd March. -

Miss Reynolds' Y4 visit to Kimberley's Bakery
Mon 06 Mar 2017On Thursday 9th March the Y4 children in Miss Reynolds' Class will be visiting Kimberley's Bakery in Glossop to take part in a healthy baking session and a quiz. This is a lovely opportunity for the children and we would like to thank the staff at Kimberley's Bakery. -
World Book Day
Mon 06 Mar 2017On Thursday 2nd March, we celebrated World Book Day by wearing hats linked to books. There were some amazing hats that the children had made at home, including a paper mache Greg Heffley mask from Diary of a Wimpy Kid and a Paddington Bear hat with marmalade sandwiches underneath! During the day, the children enjoyed sharing their hats with their class mates and joined in with World Book Day activities.

Girls' Football Match
Fri 03 Mar 2017The girls' football team will not be attending the match tonight (Friday 3rd March) at Glossopdale. Their next match will be Friday 17th March. -
Bikeabilty for Y4 and Y6
Wed 01 Mar 2017We have arranged Cycling Proficiency Training (Bikeability) for our Y4's and Y6's in May which will be free of charge. Places are limited and we will need a completed consent form for any child wishing to take part. Copies of the letters sent home are on the website (Parents section, Useful Information, Letters to Parents).
