What We Have Been Up To
In KS1, we have been exploring the Jewish religion and trying to answer two key questions: 'Who is Jewish and what do they believe? How and why do we celebrate special and sacred times?'.
We have furthered our understanding of Judaism using mind maps, role-play, music, poetry, Venn diagrams and art work.
During this term, we have looked closely at Christianity and have explored two key questions: Why is the Bible so important for Christians today? What does it mean to be a Christian in Britain today?
We have used poetry, role-play, thoughtful questioning, art, music and other exciting activities to help us answer these questions.
During autumn one and two, Years 5 and 6 have been exploring the key question: 'What does it mean to be a Muslim in Britain today?'.
We have used role-play, silent debates, diary writing and creating Eid cards, as well as other exciting activities to investigate the five pillars of Islam and further our learning about the Islamic religion.
