MATHS
Many of you have asked how you can support your child's maths learning further at home. Follow the link to the White Rose website that we use in school to give you more information on how the maths curriculum is organised and the daily lessons your child takes part in. If you follow the correct year group for your child's maths work, it will give you access to help videos and examples of questions to practise at home.
SPELLING
We use Spelling Shed for spelling practice. We also use this resource in school in our spelling groups that your child takes part in three times a week. Ask your child which spelling group they are in so you can find their list on the document attached.

READING
It is important that children read every day. Your child will receive a new reading book every Monday, unless they are a free reader, when they can change their book as they finish it. Reading with your child daily at home will ensure that they will be exposed to a wide range of words. This will help them build their own vocabulary and improve their understanding when they listen, which is vital. In addition to their reading book, the children will also visit the school library every week and will bring home a book of their choice.
