WANTED: FEMALE MATHEMATICIANS!
This academic year, we are focusing on increasing the number of girls achieving greater depth in maths, particularly wanting to improve girls' confidence, develop resilience and risk taking, and encourage their love of the subject.
This academic year, we are focusing on increasing the number of girls achieving greater depth in maths, particularly wanting to improve girls' confidence, develop resilience and risk taking, and encourage their love of the subject.
We are looking for help from women, who work in or have a strong interest in STEM subjects (Science, Technology, Engineering and Maths), to talk to or work with the children, to help promote females in these areas and inspire the next generation. If you, or someone you know, are able to help in some way with this project (possibly a talk, assembly, workshop, club, provide resources or information, etc) please contact Miss Daniels. MENTAL MATHS VOLUNTEERS NEEDED!
Could you, or someone you know, spare an hour or two each week to help in school? We are in need of volunteers to help run Mental Maths sessions. These sessions are loved by the children and are really beneficial as they develop the children's mental arithmetic skills and mathematical knowledge, resulting in improved accuracy and confidence when applying their skills. Full training will be provided. We hope you can help!
