Head's Welcome
Head’s Welcome
I am delighted to be the head teacher of The Duke of Norfolk CE Primary School. At Dukes, we believe that, apart from home, school is the most important influence in a child’s life, fostering friendships, building confidence, nurturing talents, and encouraging achievement. We are a large Church of England primary and nursery school, and are affiliated with All Saints Parish Church, Old Glossop, and the Diocese of Derby.
Dukes has a special family feel where your child can grow and develop. The staff are friendly and approachable, and love to teach. We cherish our children and appreciate their individuality. We always put children at the centre of everything we do.
We have an amazing setting, surrounded by the Glossop hills and countryside. Our grounds are extensive and include four playgrounds, a large school sports field, and developed woodland. Our forest is mature and used regularly by all children for Forest Schools activities. Our rich curriculum is vibrant and challenging.
The School community is lively and happy, with well-behaved, hard-working pupils and staff. We welcome visits to the school, where you can witness Dukes in action.
My job at the school is to ensure that your child is safe and content, because happy children learn the best.
