At the Duke of Norfolk Primary, we recognise that a child or young person with Special Educational Needs (SEN) requires provision which is different from or additional to that normally available to others of the same age.
A special educational provision should be matched to the child’s or young person’s identified needs. We identify and support the 4 broad areas of Special Educational Needs & Disabilities.
-Social, Emotional & mental Health
-Cognition & Learning
-Physical and/or Sensory needs
-Communication and interaction
We strive for inclusion and all of our pupils to feel valued and respected in our school community. Please see our SEND Policy for full details of what we can offer.
If you are applying for a school place for a child with additional needs please contact us in advance so that we can discuss your child's needs and set about putting appropriate provision in place.
If your child is already attending school and you feel that they may have additional needs please don't hesitate to contact me.
