French Afternoon Fun!

We had lots of fun during our French afternoon. We used our conversational french whilst playing shop owners and customers, and enjoyed some yummy french treats.

We were very lucky to be joined by Mrs Massey who is a French teacher from Glossopdale for one day.  She taught us how to say the names of colours and whether they were light or dark.  We learnt in French, the adjective comes after the noun when describing colours.  She also taught us the days of the week and we were able to use this to solve maths problems.  We played some really fun and interactive games which were were all able to get involved with.

We enjoyed learning lots of French greetings and how to introduce ourselves and have a conversation ion French.  We applied this to create some comic strips.

We used the iPads to research all about the geography of France and used the information to produce some fantastic two page spreads.  We looked at its geographical position as well as its different climate zones.  We also looked at French economics and culture, as well as famous people and landmarks.

We all had so much fun... and enjoyed a madeleine or two!
