The Governing body of the school, with the full support of the parents, children and staff, advise that the children wear school uniform. Parents should use the following information:

Sweatshirt/cardigan – royal blue with school logo or plain royal blue
Trousers/skirt/tailored shorts or pinafore – grey (no leggings or cycling shorts)
Polo shirt - white with school logo or plain white
Shoes - sensible flat black school shoes/boots or closed-toe sandals (no trainers or open-toe sandals or "crocs type" sandals)
Summer dress – blue and white stripes or gingham

PE Kit

Plain royal blue T-shirt with or without school logo

Plain black shorts

Black pumps/trainers

Black tracksuit bottoms and an old school sweatshirt or a black sweatshirt for the cold weather

UKS2 Swimming: towel, one-piece swimsuit for girls, trunks/lined shorts which must be above the knee for boys

For PE, please note the following health & safety rules:

• long hair should be tied back (plain, narrow headbands and small clips may be used to tie hair back)
• plain studs earrings are allowed as long as children are able to remove them themselves as required in PE, games or swimming. It helps if children do not wear earrings on the days they have PE.  If children have newly pierced ears, they must come to school with the earrings taped up.  Staff are not permitted to remove earrings or tape up earrings.

Please ensure that all items of clothing and footwear are marked clearly with your child's name.

Hair Styles, Jewellery

• children should not come to school with extreme hair styles e.g. shaved patterns into the hair or vivid hair dye etc.  Plain-coloured headbands are allowed, but please do not send your child to school wearing flowers/attachments/multicolours/jo jo bows etc
• children should not come to school wearing nail varnish, make-up, temporary tattoos or items of jewellery

Coats/Boots

As Glossop has very changeable weather, please ensure your child has a coat (or a raincoat in summer) for playtimes, as we try to play out in wet weather. We only let children out in snowy weather if they have wellies or snow boots.
