What is a Parent Teacher Association, and what do we do?
All parents/carers and school staff are automatically part of the PTA. We organise events and activities to raise extra money for the school. The Duke of Norfolk PTA is a registered charity.

Why do we need to fundraise?
To provide those additional resources that schools are now finding it very difficult to fund, and to enrich provision for all children. We are led by school on what they have identified will be the most benefit to our children. We fundraise for large purchases such as the laptops bought in 2024 and the new climbing structure in the playground. These aims can change depending on the needs of the school. In addition to this, we provide money for smaller but significant items across the year, such as teaching aids, books, musical instruments, play and SENCO items as requested by teachers and school staff. Each teacher also receives a pot of money to buy small items for their classroom. Please see our Facebook page and newsletters for updates on what is bought and how items purchased with PTA funds benefit the children.
Where and When do we meet?
The committee meets monthly over Zoom with the occasional in-person meeting and the odd social.
How?
Together we discuss ideas for social and fund-raising events for children, parents/carers, and friends. This work is shared out, and we all get 'stuck in'. Everyone's help is appreciated and ideas are welcome. There are many ways to get involved, no matter how much time you may be able to contribute. We also look at more passive ways of raising money, such as Easyfundraising and Your School Lottery.
