The Duke of Norfolk CofE Primary School

A Message From Our Head Teacher

Welcome to the Duke of Norfolk CE Primary School website.  We are a happy and welcoming school located in the market town of Glossop, on the edge of the stunning Peak National Park.

The Duke of Norfolk School is a very nice place to be; the children work hard and enjoy their learning and the staff are hard working and dedicated.  There is a sense of purpose when you go into our classrooms, the children are encouraged and supported to achieve their best. Learning through play is something we value highly.  We are lucky to have a very interesting school site which includes our very own forest!

As a school team, everything we do is aimed at providing the very best education we can for the children.  This begins with us running smaller than average classes in our Reception year, ensuring the best possible start, to delivering a creative curriculum that stimulates the children’s love of learning.

Enjoy exploring our website and I hope you find the information you need.  If you require any further information please contact us.

A Message From Our Student Council.

Welcome to the Duke of Norfolk Primary School Webpage!

We’re the student council and we are responsible for: putting children’s ideas across to the adults, helping to fundraise for charities and helping to make our school a happy place to learn.

We think our school is a great place to be because:

  • We raise lots of money for different charities
  • We have great, supportive teachers
  • We are all kind, friendly and care about each other
  • We have a great outdoor area where we love to play and learn
  • We get to do lots of sports and enter competitions
  • We have a great working environment where we feel calm and focused
  • We all have a great attitude to learning
  • We care for our environment and are proud to be an eco-school.

We hope you like our website and enjoy looking at all of the different things we have been up to!

Thank You

Duke of Norfolk School Council
