The Duke of Norfolk CofE Primary School

Physical Education

The children have up to 2 hours of quality PE each week. This can be as part of a PE lesson taught by their teacher, a session with our Tameside coach, a swimming session at the pool or a session in Forest Schools with Mr Ellison.  In their PE lessons the children will do a range of activities including; games, athletics, gymnastics, dance and specific sports when they are with the coach. They work in the hall or outside depending on the activity and the weather!

We also run a range of after school clubs which cater for all ages and include many different sports.

We are involved in many activities off site both during and after school, for example; different tournaments throughout the year, dance days at Glossopdale College, football leagues for girls and boys and gymnastics sessions at the leisure centre.

Through Sport and PE we hope to encourage all our children to lead a healthy lifestyle and keep active whilst at the same time having fun and maybe trying something new!
